Protect Your Investment With the Engineers Who Built It

Unitech Machinery provides comprehensive spray booth servicing, planned maintenance contracts, LEV compliance testing and emergency breakdown cover across the UK.

As original spray booth manufacturers with over 50 years of experience, our factory-trained engineers know your equipment inside out – whether it left our Burntwood facility last year or two decades ago.

We also service and maintain equipment from other manufacturers, not just Unitech-built systems – so if you have a mixed facility, we can cover everything under a single contract.

Why Regular Spray Booth Servicing Matters

An unserviced spray booth drifts out of compliance long before it stops working – and by the time it does, the repair bill is far greater than the service would have been. Regular spray booth servicing protects your production, your workforce and your business in ways that go beyond simply keeping the equipment running.

  • Finish quality – Blocked filters and reduced airflow directly affect the quality of your finish. Regular servicing keeps airflow and performance within specification.
  • Legal compliance – LEV and COSHH regulations require spray booth extraction systems to be examined and tested at least every 14 months. Lapsed certificates leave you exposed to HSE enforcement action.
  • Insurance and audit risk – Many insurers require up-to-date compliance documentation. A lapsed certificate can affect both your cover and your ability to pass a customer audit.
  • Equipment lifespan – Planned maintenance extends the working life of your equipment significantly. Unitech regularly services booths that are over 20 years old and still in daily production use.

Spray Booth Maintenance Contracts Tailored to Your Production

There are no off-the-shelf packages here. Every maintenance contract is built around your equipment, your output and your compliance obligations. A small bodyshop running occasional jobs may only need an annual visit, while a facility running 24/7 will typically require quarterly or biannual attendance.

Whatever your production schedule, a Unitech maintenance contract includes:

  • Full airflow checks and filter inspection
  • Filter replacement as required
  • Burner system inspection and calibration
  • Motor and drive inspection
  • Controls calibration and testing
  • LEV test and statutory compliance certification
  • Breathing air quality test to BS EN 12021 where applicable
  • All OEM spare parts brought to site – no waiting for parts to arrive
  • Compliance certificates issued on the day

RAPID RESPONSE

Emergency Breakdown Cover

A stopped booth means stopped production. When something goes wrong, you need an engineer on site fast – not a phone queue and a three-day wait.

We aim to respond the same day wherever possible, with all callouts attended within 24 hours. Our engineers travel UK-wide from our Burntwood, Staffordshire base, carrying OEM and legacy parts on the van so that the most common faults can be resolved in a single visit.

Common breakdown faults we deal with include:

  • Burner ignition failure
  • Extract fan faults
  • Airflow sensor errors
  • Control panel and PLC faults
  • Filter housing and seal failure

Even if your booth is over 20 years old, our engineers will know it. We support legacy equipment that many other service providers have long since stopped covering. Take a look at our case studies to see the range of finishing systems we design, build and support.

KEEPING YOU COMPLIANT- LEV TESTING

KEEPING YOU COMPLIANT

LEV Testing & Compliance

Under COSHH regulations, all Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems – including spray booths – must be thoroughly examined and tested at least every 14 months by a competent person. Unitech Machinery provides full statutory compliance testing, with certificates issued on the day of the visit.

A standard compliance visit covers:

  • Smoke Clearance Test – confirms that extraction clears fumes from the booth within the required time.
  • Breathing Air Quality Test – certifies that air supplied to operators meets BS EN 12021.
  • LEV Certification – verifies capture efficiency and airflow velocity against the required specification.

Where readings drift outside acceptable limits, our engineers make adjustments on site during the same visit. You won’t be left non-compliant waiting for a follow-up appointment.

ALWAYS STOCKED- FILTER & CONSUMABLES

ALWAYS STOCKED

Filters & Consumables

A blocked filter doesn’t just reduce airflow – it affects finish quality, puts strain on your fan motors and can push your booth out of compliance between service visits.

Unitech holds bulk stocks of intake, extract and arrestor filter media at our Burntwood factory, available for next-day dispatch or added to your maintenance agreement so replacements arrive automatically when you need them. Visit our after sales page for more information on parts and consumables.
